Off- Road Trips

Beautiful Baviaanskloof.

The Baviaanskloof in the Eastern Cape is one of the most sought-after off road destinations in the country. In addition to lots of wildlife (kudu, bushbock, baboons, red hartebeast) and scenic beauty to take the breath away, it offers a wonderful riding expierence: broad rivers to splash through, snaking passes and a variety of road surfaces.

The Elephantom Run
Probably the most scenic and varied 336 kilometers you can ride anywhere in the world: the fascinating ancient riverbed of Rooiheuwel, the incomparable old Montagu Pass down the coastal plain. Then the Seven Passes splendour to Knysna and lunch on the Knysna Waterfront.

The Road to Hell
Gamkasloof (The Hell) is one of the most sought-after adventure-touring destinations in Africa. Take the tarred R 328 until it becomes the spectacular Swartberg Pass, and than make the left turn to Die Hel, where the scenery grows from the beautiful to the incredible.

Secrets of the Rooiberg
Maybe it is often overshadowed by the region´s legendary routes such as the Swartberg Pass, Gamkaskloof and the Knysna forests that so few people are aware of the Rooiberg Pass – and the Paardebont road which leads to it.

Tar Road Tours:

Outeniqua Circle
This is a day of sweeping roads and breathtaking vistas, white beaches and millionaire houses. The R328 takes you via Robinson Pass to Mossel Bay and then past Klein Brakriver to George.

Ghost Ride to Uniondale
Routes takes you via R62 to Avontuur, in order to ride through Uniondale Poort, where the legendary spookmeisie is still haunting bikers to this day.
