Panorama Route and Kruger Park Tour

Day 1, 400 km Johannesburg/ Pretoria - Graskop
We head east from Johannesburg along the N4 highway to Mpumalanga Province.
Mpumalanga means “Place where the sun rises” in the local language, and the escarpment area is renowned for good riding roads, high mountain passes and great scenery.
Day 2, 300 km Roundtrip via „Panorama Route“, Overnight Graskop
Today we will take a round trip via the „Panorama Route“, South Africa´s most stunning road with breathtaking views and best riding conditions. We will see the awesome Blyde River Canyon, with sweeping views over the landscape below. Other highlights will be the Mac Mac Pools, Bourke´s Luck Potholes, Echo Cave and Pilgrim´s Rest. Definitely the „riding must“ in South Africa.
Day 3, 0 km (no riding), ca 300 km Game View drive
Game View Drive into the Krüger Park, Overnight in Hazyview / Graskop
Covering nearly 2 000 000ha, the Kruger National Park is one of Africa´s great game parks and ranks among the world´s top conservation areas. In addition to the Big Five (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and gepard) the park is home to a wide variety of antelope, such as sable, roan, impala, hartebeest, waterbock, kudu as well as hippo, giraffe and zebra.
Day 4, 350 km Hazyview – Nelspruit – Lydenburg – Via R 37 – Nelspruit
Today we will take a ride through the so called „Lowfeld“. Starting in Hazyview we head via Sabie to Nelspruit, the capital of the Mpumalanga province. The Long Tom Pass is one of today´s riding highlight.
Day 5, 350 km Nelspruit – Waterfall Boven – Barberton – Nelspruit
On our six day we are following the „Gold-Diggers“ Footsteps. We will pass Waterval Onder and Waterfall Boven, important points in South Africa´s history and a impressing riding scenerie via stunning passes.
Day 6, 430 km Nelspruit (via R40) – Barberton - Piggs Peak - Swaziland – Barberton
The Kingdom of Swaziland is today´s challenge. First we pass Barberton than we negotiate the Saddleback Pass and enter the Kingdom at Bulembu. Via the Molotja Nature Reserve, one of southern Africa´s most impressive mountain park we ride via Forbes Reef and Motjane back to South Africa.
Day 7, 400 km Barberton – Middelburg - Johannesburg
On our last riding day, we have to manage the road back to Pretoria. Nevertheless, good roads and some passes will guide our way to Johannesburg / Pretoria. Another great riding day will finish our tour. Final routing depending on availability of accommodation
